SCCL Mobile
Access the library's web site and catalog from your mobile device.
Mobile Application Features
- Search the library catalog. Choose to log in with your fourteen-digit library card number, or with your username, as well as you four-digit PIN to place holds and maintain your account.
- Use the Library Locator to find the library closest to you and determine its hours of operation.
- Use the Ask a Librarian feature to obtain the library's contact information, which includes the new text messaging service.
- Read the library's latest blog and Twitter posts to learn about special events and opportunities, recommended books and other library items, interesting articles and web sites, local history, online periodical databases and e-books, library services, and more.
- Access lists of recommended books for all ages.
- Search and explore select databases, e-books, audiobooks, and more. NEW! download eBooks and Audiobooks from OverDrive with one-click access. (Please note, OverDrive Media Console for your mobile device must be installed. The OverDrive Media Console must be authorized with an Adobe ID.)
- Use the library events calendar to determine what programs are being offered at your library.
- Utilize BookLook - scan, check, and reserve. Scan or type an ISBN when you're out and about to cross-reference if the library has the item in its collection. Reserve the book immediately or add yourself to the waiting list.
How to Access the Mobile Application
- To access the library's free mobile download, please visit sccl.boopsie.com using your phone's Internet browser.
OR
- iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad and Android users can obtain the application through the Apple App Store or Android Market. Do a search for "Santa Clara County Library" or "SCCL" to locate and download the free application. If you're unable to download from the Android Market, please visit http://sccl.boopsie.com/v2.
