Library Vision 21
Building Our Science & Technology Resources

The Challenge:

Library Vision 21 is a thoughtful plan to upgrade the Los Altos Library and technology resources, by making our library a center for learning about and using new information tools and other developing technologies.

Benefits for our community:

The funds will be part of a comprehensive plan to upgrade all current science, technology, mathematics and medical library resources.
There will be expanded community training for Los Altos/Los Altos Hills residents to learn to use electronic resources and internet access effectively and productively. New materials will include, but not limited to, books, videos, periodicals, newspapers, software, CD-ROMs, cassettes, electronic database subscriptions, computer and network hardware, and other new media as applicable and desireable.

Literacy will be the foundation of all areas of the library program, engendering the joy of reading, the excitement of research and the power of information. The library will have the richest resources ever.
