Do you want to read better?
Could you teach an adult to read?
The Reading Program is a service of the Library that teaches adults basic reading, writing, math and computer skills for free!
Tutors and learners meet together at every Santa Clara County Library and classes are offered at several locations in the community. In addition, literacy and library services are provided to inmates in the Santa Clara County Corrections Department facilities.
I want to learn!

The
Reading Program started in 1985 as an early member of the State Library's California Literacy Campaign. In 2001, the program was re-named "Vision Literacy." Beginning in June of 2010, the re-structured service went back to its original name, The Reading Program.
