Consumer Price Index
From the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, this is one of the most commonly cited indicators of inflation. It is a monthly measure of the average change in prices over time of a fixed list of goods and services. The California Consumer Price Index is published by the State Division of Labor Statistics & Research.
