My Account Log-in Troubleshooting
I enter my library card number and PIN, and it says, "Login failed. Please check your barcode and pin and try again. Card number should be entered with no spaces.” This message signifies that your card number, PIN, or both do not match what we have on file. Re-enter the 14 digit card number without spaces from your blue Santa Clara County Library Card and verify your PIN. If you never selected an alternate PIN, the last 4 digits of your phone number is the default. If you are still unable to log in, please visit any Santa Clara County Library to reset or select a new PIN.
If your account is currently set up for email notification, send an email from that account to circulation@library.sccgov.org requesting that your PIN be reset to the last 4 digits of your phone number. Please email us at the same address if you have any other questions about your account. (Email is answered during office hours, Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.)
