  • California Apprenticeship Program - Check out the overview of union apprenticeship programs offering opportunities for a career as a tradesperson in California.

  • California Department of Industrial Relations - Explore information about apprenticeship programs, licensing, registration, certification, and prevailing wages.

  • Cool Works - Discover a variety of seasonal jobs at resorts, National Parks, camps, ski areas, cruise lines, etc. The listings also include volunteer opportunities. Apply as directed, not online.

  • Elance - Freelance online with jobs acquired through this website. Businesses post "projects" (by category) and evaluate the "bids" from "service providers." The fee for this matching service is paid by the service provider. A rating system provides pre-selection feedback on the service providers. A privacy policy is posted.

  • JobCorps - Sign-up for a free education and job training program for young people ages 16 to 24 from the U.S. Department of Labor.

  • Job Monkey - Explore a variety of employment opportunities by industry including Alaska fishery, cruise ship, land tour, reality TV casting, treeplanting, and winery jobs.
