Amish Quilts: Geometry and Simplicity, Community and Belief
Tuesday, April 6th, 2010. 2:00 P.M.

Experience the simple yet strong designs, rich saturated colors, intricate quilting patterns and fine and elaborate stitiching of one of the finest aesthetic art forms in America. A docent from the SF Fine Arts Museum will highlight the exhibit at the De Young Museum.
 

Ansel Adams and the American Wilderness
Tuesday, May 18th, 2010. 2:00 P.M.

Ansel Adams' photographs convey his deep feeling for the wilderness and environment, with epic vistas and elegant details of nature which evoke an emotional response that matches or even outweighs the reality of the photograph. SF Museums Art Docent, Kay Payne, will discuss the artist's work.
