Aging Parents and Elder Care
This site provides information and resources about caring for an aging parent, elderly spouse, domestic partner or close friend.

Council on Aging, Silicon Valley
The Council on Aging is an advocate for senior services in Santa Clara County and provides several resources and services including Meals on Wheels, Call Care, Care Management, Health Insurance Counseling, job counseling and legal advice.

Eldercare Locator
Eldercare Locator is a public service of the U.S. Administration on Aging. The Eldercare Locator is your first step for finding local agencies, in every U.S. community, that can help older persons and their families access home and community-based services like transportation, meals, home care, and caregiver support services. To begin, go the website and enter your criteria or call 800.677.1116.

Family Caregiver Alliance (FCA)
Founded in 1977, Family Caregiver Alliance was the first community-based nonprofit organization in the country to address the needs of families and friends providing long-term care at home. FCA offers information, education, advice and advocacy to support and sustain families nationwide who are caring for loved ones with chronic, disabling health conditions.

Family Caregiving 101
Helpful links as well as information, ideas and advice for caregivers from the National Family Caregivers Association (NFCA) and the National Alliance for Caregiving (NAC). The site is designed to provide caregivers with the basic tools, skills and information they need to protect their own physical and mental health while they provide high quality care for their loved one.

Lotsa Helping Hands
Users can create a free, private, web-based community to organize family, friends, neighbors, and colleagues to assist a family caregiver during times of need. Easily coordinate activities and manage volunteers with our intuitive group calendar. Communicate and share information using announcements, blogs, messages boards, and photos.

National Family Caregivers Association
National organization dedicated to empowering family caregivers through its “Four Messages to Live By” philosophy.  Connects caregivers online using message boards and e-communities as well as its “Caregiver Story Project.”

National Institute on Aging: Caregiver Guide
This is a comprehensive resource from the U.S. National Institutes of Health on caring for loved ones who can no long care for themselves.
